3) What are attorney's fees for handling a Federal Tort Claim case?
Under § 2678, attorneys may not charge a contingency fee of more than 20% of the recovery if the recovery is made either during the administrative review process or before the suit is filed in Federal District Court. After the suit if filed the fee is 25%, whether it is a settlement or a judgment after a trial.
