2) Why is it sometimes hard to find an attorney to help me with my Federal Tort Claims case?

Many attorneys who are willing to handle personal injury or death claims against private parties will not handle cases against the federal government. For some it may simply be because they are unfamiliar with the technical procedures that must be followed for such claims pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act. For others, it may be because the FTCA restricts the attorney's fees to either 20% or 25% of the recovery, depending on the circumstances.
